Maggy Jackson APAQAM (APA Accred member)
CICPC was founded by Maggy Jackson, a community-minded practitioner whose decades of experience have shaped therapeutic practice across our region.
Maggy’s vision CICPC grew from her belief in collaboration, ethical practice, and the importance of helping people find the right therapeutic support at the right time. She recognised the strength that exists when therapists come together — not in competition, but in a spirit of shared care, mutual respect, and service to the wider community. Through many years as a staff counsellor, psychotherapist and trainer in forensic services, primary care and in the prison system, Maggy began to notice a lack of essential ethical practice within the therapeutic community and wanted to address this. She did this by bringing together a professional team whose primary objective is to promote professional and ethical practice within their chosen fields.
Those of us who have worked alongside Maggy know her as someone who's work has always reflected integrity, inclusivity, compassion, and a deep respect for both clients and practitioners. CICPC carries those values forward: offering people choice, dignity, and access to qualified therapists, while also nurturing a supportive professional community for those doing the work.
This collective is part of Maggy’s legacy is a reflection of her commitment to ethical therapy, local community, and the belief that good therapeutic work is strengthened when we are connected, thoughtful, and working together.
All therapists in the collective are members of recognised professional bodies (such as BACP, UKCP, or NCPS) and follow strict ethical guidelines. This ensures that therapy is delivered in a safe, confidential and professional environment.
